The history of Zippo Manufacturing Company dates back to over 75 years ago, when a talented metal worker watched a friend awkwardly using an Austrian made cigarette lighter. The metal worker was Mr. George G. Blaisdell, and in 1932 in Bradford, Pennsylvania, Mr. Blaisdell made the first Zippo lighter. Since then Zippo has produced over 425 million Zippo lighters.

Since 1932 Zippo has never charged a penny to repair any Zippo Windproof Pocket Lighter. When a lighter is returned to the Zippo Repair Clinic, it will be put in first-class mechanical condition free of charge, regardless of age or condition. The finish, however, is not guaranteed.

USA Lighters also offers Color Photo personalization on most Zippo lighters. We use a unique printing and curing technique which produces photographic quality images underneath a crystal clear protective coating. You can provide us with any images, graphics, pictures, logos or photos of your choice, and our artists will transfer the artwork to your lighter. This personalization method is perfect for company logos, family photos or custom artwork.

Each image transfer is performed by hand and is closely monitored for quality assurance and complete customer satisfaction. The protective coating on each design consists of an epoxy based resin formula which is cured using an advanced ultraviolet process. The finish can withstand heavy use and weathering without being compromised, and is able to resist most scratching by flexing and returning to its original shape and form.

The estimated turnaround time for our full color personalized lighters is 5-10 days. It is necessary to allow sufficient time for the image transfer to cure properly. Upon request we can email you with a proof of your completed design prior to applying the design to ensure complete satisfaction. If you require a picture of your design prior to shipment additional time may be required. We may be able to expedite design and delivery, but only upon request. Additional fees may apply.
